Muovailen veistokset ensin savesta, otan kipsimuotin ja valan betoniin. Betonivalu ei ole tekninen toteutus vaan yllätyksellinen ja luova prosessi.
Veistoksia tehdessäni ei ole hyvää, ei pahaa, rumaa tai kaunista. On matkantekoa, jolla muoto on minun ruokaani. Ilman muotoa on kaaos.
Kaunis on sana, kauniin sisältö on matkan aikana kohdattu tervehdys, ele, kumarrus, jolla kehotetaan jatkamaan matkaa.
Matkan voi aloittaa vaikka sanalla nöyryys. Teoksen edetessä visuaalisesti assosioiden syntyy merkityksiä. Veistoksen ”sielu” muuttuu tutuksi.
Taiteen tekeminen on matkustamista mikro- ja makrokosmoksissa.
I first shape the sculptures from clay, take a plaster mold and swear into the concrete. Concrete casting is not a technical implementation but a surprising and creative process.
When I make sculptures, there is nothing good, not bad, ugly or beautiful. There is a journey that takes shape with my food. Without form, there is chaos.
Beautiful is a word, the content of beautiful is a greeting, a gesture, a bow, encountered during the journey, urging you to continue the journey.
The journey can begin even with the word humility. As the work progresses visually, associations arise in the meanings. The “soul” of the sculpture becomes familiar.
Making art is traveling in micro and macrocosms.
